Enormous Support for Al Gore

I have been watching the www.DraftGore.com site, and I see that the number of people signing the petition to Draft Gore continuously increases. I donned my usual conservative clothing the other day and walked through downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan, asking people if they would like to sign the petition to Draft Gore. In 4 hours 50 people signed. The town was not remarkably busy. It was enjoyable and productive for me, and I'd like to obtain 500 signatures within a week or two. There is enormous support for Al Gore. Anyone else finding petitioning to be productive? In my mind, the worst case scenario is that a potential petition signer is about to sign a big Thank You note for Mr. Gore. In my view, best case scenario is that we create mass consent and convince Gore to run and win. I postulate that the probability of him running can not yet be determined. Possibly after 7.7.07 we'll see our volunteer numbers increase, which is what is needed to reach our goal of Gore running, in my view. We could use more volunteers to help people get over the common objection "But he doesn't want to run," because clearly Mr. Gore would be honored to be the next President. To me, this is obvious based on his actions, his words, and common sense. It's up to us to expand our volunteer work force and work in the most effective ways we can.
